We spend most of time looking at what you want, and what you create in your home. But what do we want?
Well, plenty of things. But, in this installment, it's all about what's next to our bed.
Renovating your house or just want to update your bedroom furniture?
Here our four of our favourite bedside tables on the market, with a particular focus on pieces that don’t take up a lot of space.
Hay Korpus Shelf
What: Who doesn't love Hay!? In their own words, Korpus Shelf is 'based on the desire to create a durable multi-purpose shelf from recyclable material'. Its distinct curves are the hero and it's not just a bed side - its strength means it can be used as a coat rack or somewhere to hang your towels on.
Where: Designed and created for Hay by Norwegian designer Andreas Bergsaker.
How much: $225.
Made of Tomorrow FOLD Bedside Table
What: Don't have a lot of space, but don't want to compromise on style? We hear you. This simple, yet eye-catching, piece - available in an array of colours, including bronze, limestone and aged brass in the Elements range - might be the one.
Where: Designed in New Zealand by product and homeware design brand Made of Tomorrow.
How much: From $130.
Dowel Jones Simon Says Shelf
What: If you aren't familiar with the the Simon Says range from Dowel Jones, do yourself a favour. A solid timber, multifunctional storage solution, we think this shelf would make a statement by any bedside.
Where: Designed in Melbourne and constructed in Geelong.

Plyroom Little Nest Wall Cabinet
What: After something that hides a bit more of that stuff that's always lying around? Yeah, we hear you on that, too. This Melbourne-based design team say this beauty is inspired by mid-century utilitarianism, designed for function and simplicity of line.
Where: Designed and made in Australia.
How much: $475.
