Looking to use high-quality glass fixtures, or a decorative feature, in your renovation but can’t afford it?
We’re here to tell you that you can.
Future Glass exists to bring affordable luxury to every household.
In 2020, in Braeside – an industrial suburb 30km from Melbourne’s CBD – the Aquilia Group set out to fill a gap in the market for shower screens and mirrors.
After extensive market research, Future Glass was born.
“We believe people shouldn't have to choose between price and class so we bridged the gap,” Future Glass tells Place Journal.
With a focus on DIY renovators, the pre-installed D ring hooks on the back of all Future Glass mirrors making it easy for you to hang it yourself – more on how to do just that below.
The mirrors come in six different shapes, an expansive range of sizes and three different finishes – satin brass, white and black.
The ever-growing range consists of bathroom and decorative mirrors, mirror cabinets, fixed and sliding shower screens, as well as some brand-new on-trend pebble and Mediterranean mirrors.
FUTURE GLASS ON HOW TO INSTALL AND CHOOSE A MIRROR
1. It sounds simple, but always measure and mark up where you want the mirror to hang and where you will need to drill the holes to hang the hooks. As they say, measure twice, cut – or in this case drill – once.
2. Use a stud finder and find the studs behind the plaster in the area you are hanging the mirror.
3. If there are no studs, you will have to use the plaster screws that are included. Drill the plaster screws into your marked spots and then drill the normal screw into that.
4. Gently lower the mirror down onto the screws - keeping the hooks in line with the screws.
5. Dust away any mess and voila!
FUTURE GLASS ON WHAT TO CONSIDER WHEN SELECTING A MIRROR
- What style you are going with for the room
- Wall colour
- If there are any picture frames hanging up, you may want to match their frame colour
- Size of the area
- How you are going to decorate the space around the mirror
- Ask yourself - is the mirror going to be a centrepiece?
